WAINAO N°71 BUT THOSE EYES

WHY NOW? BECAUSE CHANGE NEVER COME AS WE EXPECT IT, NEVER IN THE FORM IN WHICH WE EXPECT IT, BUT THERE IS ONE THING THAT WE CAN BE SURE OF: THAT IS COMING.

NEVER HAS A MISS SYMBOLIZED AMERICA AS WELL AS VANESSA WILLIAMS, NOT BY HER ORIGINS, HER APPEARANCE, BUT JUST BY BEING HERSELF: PAINFUL PAST, PRESENT UNDER CONSTRUCTION AND  UNCERTAIN FUTURE.

For some whites this miss america was little TOO DARK. For some black people , she was a little TOO LIGHT.  40 years later nobody cares about that. she was the first and payed the price... but  thanks to her, things have changed.

Everything would have been easier if she hadn't had those beautiful BLUE EYES, but the beauty is that .....she probably wouldn't have won if she hadn't had These beautiful BLEUE EYES.
vanessa williams from an early age had to learn to live with her heritage... nuances and paradoxes... JUST LIKE USA.
