Artist WAINAO ALMUDENA MAHIQUES - drawer, painter, dancer

artist, drawer, painter - ALMUDENA MAHIQUES

ALMUDENA MAHIQUES  symbolizes the artist par excellence.
She is a Spanish artist and for her, Art, whatever the field, is above all a means of expressing oneself. She does it through dance, music, drawing, painting ... All these disciplines are tools for the expression of her personality.
It is perhaps for this reason that his drawings and paintings have something so profound. She has a particular look and a way of putting her in an image that belongs only to her.

What has seduced us is a kind of positive melancholy that one finds in all his paintings even when the subjects are totally different. "LA MAMA" or "Antic Palau del Genovés" have a lot of common pints. We understand that she has been rewarded many times for her work.

We exchanged on the project before working together and his desire to share his art on unusual supports that tee shirts showed us her open minded spirit and the chance we had of being able to work with her.

ALMUDENA MAHIQUES SPEAKS OF HER:

"I started to draw since I was very small .. I do not remember exactly when. I was attracted by art in general: dance, music (I play the cello), photography, Drawing and painting.

I studied the Bac artistique by sharing dance and music at the conservatory. After finishing at the Faculty of Fine Arts, I worked more in the world of opera dancing and acting, not forgetting drawing and painting. After being a mother, I decided to dedicate myself completely to artistic creation.

I want to express myself through my drawings and paintings because for me it is like breathing, I feel filled. I have many models, classics, but also contemporary artists that I admire a lot and I learn with his work. I could quote Antonio Lopez, Golucho, Felipe Alonso, Paco Lafarga, Cesar Santos, Guillermo García Lorca, Pamela Wilson and others. Above all, in drawing and painting, I like the portrait by the expressiveness and strength of the face and the human body. "
